L'esprit Du Clan Biography
A French metalcore band that formed in 1995, L'esprit du Clan were influenced by the aggressive sounds of Pantera, The Haunted, Slayer, and Merauder. Their debut album, Chapitre 0, was released in 2000, and made enough waves in the scene that the Clan scored a spot opening up for aforementioned influence Merauder. With the band's buzz on the rise, Virgin Records France agreed to act as distributor for the band's label (La Casta), and L'esprit du Clan released album number two - Chaptire 1 - in 2002. Album number three, Chapitre 2: Reverence, was released in 2005. With the band's star rising outside of continental Europe, Gods Child Music re-released their well-received third full length shortly thereafter, this time in a version containing bonus features. In 2008, L'esprit du Clan saw their fourth album released world wide, entitled Chapitre III: Corpus Delicti, the album was a critical success.Biography by allmusic.com
