Osaka, Japan native Hiram Bullock is a guitar pyrotechnician whose three Atlantic albums land him firmly in fusion-funk territory. He can play all kinds of music, from the blues to speed-metal, and enlivens his shows with friendly mugging, virtuoso technique, and undeniable enthusiasm. Influenced by The Mahavishnu Orchestra and taught by Pat Metheny, the athletic Bullock has worked with the likes of Phyllis Hyman, David Sanborn, Steely Dan, James Taylor, and Carla Bley and was a member of David Letterman's studio band.Biography by allmusic.com
