X-Press 2 Biography

British house trio X-Press 2 comprised former record store manager Ashley Beedle (aka Black Science Orchestra), DJ Diesel, and DJ Rocky (aka Problem Kids). The threesome became involved in electronic music in 1993 while playing in a post-acid house outfit called Ballistic Brothers. Their first hit single, titled "Say What", peaked at number 32 in the U.K. chart in October 1993. In October 2000, X-Press 2 released "AC/DC", followed by "Muzikizum", and "Smoke Machine" in 2001. A year later, the deep house single "Lazy" anticipated their debut album, Muzikizum, featuring collaborations from electro/pop Yello's Dieter Meier and Talking Heads' David Byrne.
