Album Peepshow by Siouxsie and The Banshees Review
As good as it is in places, Peepshow is the sound of a once-terrific band treading water. Some of the songs are fine, but they're too layered in self-referential mystique to actually win over listeners. The single ("Peek-a-Boo") is one exception - a seductive glimpse of the sleek lines and pouty truculence of old. But other songs, including two singles - "Killing Jar" and "Last Beat of My Heart" - fail to convince. The obituary writers started sharpening their pencils.Review by allmusic.com
