Album Balance by Chuck Loeb Review
This effort by guitarist Chuck Loeb is an easy-listening set full of strong melodies and having just enough variety to hold one's interest throughout the entire CD. Joined by a fine supporting cast which includes keyboardist Jon Werking and Bob Mintzer on tenor and bass clarinet, Loeb displays an attractive guitar sound that at various times recalls Wes Montgomery, Grant Green or Larry Carlton. A particular surprise is that "Eternal Flame", a pop tune associated with the Bangles, is transformed into a sensitive ballad.Review by allmusic.com
